Elysium - AR & UX UI
AR and interactive social drone games platform
project in Asgard systems

The idea
In recent years, the drone community has evolved from a trend to a thriving and growing network. Elysium aims to connect enthusiasts, foster gaming challenges, and seamlessly integrate the emerging AR world. This interface caters to beginner drone pilots, offering a perfect solution for those eager to join and connect with a like-minded community.
User research
I researched experienced drone users in Facebook groups and forums, gaining valuable insights into their perspectives on the drone field and community:
87%
Of the replyers believe that the drone community will continue to grow
65%
Of replyers have expiries
With AR games
81%
Of replyers use the drone for social sharing on social networks
16-55

The opportunities
I've been flying drones for almost a decade, it's much more than a hobby for me
1
I'm a gaming person, but I don't like to be in front of a screen at home all day, I also like to be in motion outside

User journey (by Alex)

UX process
Initially, drone control was joystick-exclusive. However, recognizing the need for broader accessibility, I adapted the interface to accommodate smartphone and tablet users, enhancing overall responsiveness.

1. Profile page
The profile page was created to track the user's personal achievements, and create an opportunity for him to share his achievements and thus create his own experience

2. Main map menu
The map page is the core of Elysium.
Here the users get an up-to-date status on what is happening in the
drones community: organizing groups, competitions and more

3. Swipe features menu
I chose to put the swipe menu on the main map page so that users have easier access and thus also make a difference from the regular main menu

4. AR gameplay 1
In Elysium I have chosen a wide range of games so that users can share performance and also improve in drone flying (screenshot of an arcade game based on result time)
5. AR gameplay 2
A multiplayer game that simulates a spaceship battle between drones

6. Stop flight pop - up
As we know, there are restricted areas for flying drones, such as military bases and airports, so it was important to give users a clear indication of where the flight path should be changed
