Who are Madridos?

I had the opportunity to live in amazing Madrid for almost a year, and during this time I got to know the great people of “Madridos Tours.”

The company organizes tours for tourists who come to discover life in the city through tours of the city streets, get to know the main sites, receive explanations of life there, tour the royal palace, and more.

The company also conducts a day tour in the amazing Toledo in addition to delicious culinary tours as well as tours to Segovia.

The main problem

Too many tools that the company uses to manage the tasks, so they are not fully synchronized...

The main pain points of the users

My goal in the project

Create a user-friendly interface that consolidates all key data for the company in one place. This should include tracking tables, work schedules, and expense and income monitoring, saving valuable time…

The research

Through interviews with the users, I discovered key user problems. The system needs to be responsive. Users fall into two categories: regular users (tour guides) and admins (managers & owners), each with distinct privileges based on their role.

Dashboards

1. Guide schedule screen
On this screen, every tour guide in Madridos can see his work schedule for the coming week according to the types of tours.

During the user interview, it was stated that it’s important for them to see the amount of tips they have made per week so that they can follow it more orderly than before.

2. On mobile
The main part of the use is also done through the smartphone, through which the tour guides will be able To follow a checklist of each tour, the number of people, and also contact via chat which automatically creates a group with the WhatsApp numbers of each participant.

3. Tour fill report
At the end of each tour, the guides are asked to fill out a report, each guide receives a basic salary of 80€ per tour.

here the system calculates an additional tip according to the amount received during the tour, so the managers can follow the progress of the tours in an orderly manner.

4. Schedule for administrative manager
Shiran is the person who manages the nature of the tours and creates the schedule according to the constraints, here using a simple drag & drop, she can create the schedule for the week for each tour guide.

5. Monitoring board for CEO
Shay, who serves as the manager and owner of Madridos, it was important to see the company's data on one screen:

expenses & income, the number of people who participated in the tours, and income according to each tour guide, so that he could compare previous months and prepare work plans for the next month and manage the dictation, and give Bonus points to instructors who made less money that month.
